After months of simply
naming Avatar 2, the title was confirmed in April and we now know that fans
will be getting ready to watch Avatar: The Water Way soon.
As the second film goes to
theaters in December, fans will be able to see what’s next with Jake Sully (Sam
Worthington) and Neytiri (Zoe Saldana), following the events of the first film
when Jake is permanently transferred to his avatar Ney'tiri saves him from
breathing.
Commenting on the song,
producer Jon Landau told Entertainment Weekly: “Ultimately, this series is a
family affair, and the length of time parents have to go through to keep that
family together and keep it safe.

He added: "I always say
that [James Cameron's] films have global themes - and in fact, they are no
longer the essence of the universe as a family."

Date of release of Way of Water
The much-anticipated series, one of the biggest new movies of 2022, is expected to be released worldwide on December 16, 2022, and will be in cinemas. It is not yet known when the film will be available on live streaming services.
What is the structure of Avatar: Water Way?
So far, we know that the
film tells the story of the Sully family, as well as the trials and
tribulations that the people of Pandora face.
The official plot of the
film reads: "Jake Sully and Neytiri formed a family and did everything in
their power to stay together. However, they had to leave their home and explore
the Pandora regions.
In addition to this, it has
been revealed that the film will explore the Pandora oceans and use underwater
photography technology during filming.
Who are the characters?
Yes, Sam Worthington and Zoe
Saldana also played their role as Jake and Neytiri, and are joined by Stephen
Lang who returns as the late Colonel Miles Quaritch. It has been revealed that
he will be a great villain, though the circumstances surrounding his
resurrection have not yet been confirmed!
Sigourney Weaver is back as
a new unnamed character, with Kate Winslet already confirmed to play Ronal in
future songs.
In addition, in an interview with Empire Magazine, producer Jon Landau revealed that there is a new character in the song Spider (Jack Champion). The character was raised in a bioluminescent forest by Jake and Neytiri.
Is there a trailer?
So far there is no official
trailer for Avatar: The Way of Water yet, but we will let you know as soon as
it is released.
It has been confirmed that the trailer will be released in theaters only before Marvel Miracle Doctor at the Multiverse of Madness on May 6th.
However, some lucky people
have already been given the first look, as visitors to the CinemaCon were given
3D glasses to watch the trailer for minutes, which did not contain nearly a
dialogue.
According to Variety, the
exhibitors were "immersed in different regions of the wonderful world of
Pandora through the visual images of the ocean and blue lakes."
